Ok, you might be starting to notice an obsession here. But whats not to love about a mix tape? The old school play-list had so much heart and soul. Mix Tape: The Art of Cassette Culture, by music legend Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth) celebrates the pain and joy of the mix tape along with the stories that go with them (like the amazing "road trip mix tape", or the heavy and depressing "my first boyfriend dumped me" mix tape. The book is a collection of essays peoms and art by various musicians, writers and mix tape makes. Even if you've never made a mix tape this book is sure to remind you of those important musical moments.
